Item no: 958198

€326,45 EUR
The Chevron version is probably the best known version in the Ecridor series and is characterized by an engraving in the shape of an inverted V. The fountain pen only appeared in the mid nineties, but closes in keeping with the classic ballpoint and pencil models from the mid-1950s. This fountain pen is available in silver plated, protected with a layer of rhodium so that the pen keeps its shine or completely gold plated. At the top of the cap, there is a space of 12 mm for a possible (short) engraving. The fountain pen is equipped with a steel nib available in different writing widths and can be filled with cartridges or with the supplied converter from the inkwell.

One of the most important pens in the history of Caran d'Ache is the Ecridor model. The name "Ecridor" comes from the pencil factory (founded in 1915) that Arnold Schweitzer, the founder of Caran d'Ache, bought in 1924, located in the heart of Geneva. In 1929, Carl Schmid invented one of the first mechanical pencils, the "Fixpencil," a name registered as a trademark by Caran d'Ache. A few years later, the first hexagonal Ecridor mechanical pencils made their debut. In 1953 the logical continuation was a matching ballpoint pen. Over the decades, this Ecridor model has more than proven itself. This is thanks to the sophisticated hexagonal shape that makes the pens lie perfectly in the hand and the Caran d'Ache ballpoint refill (Goliath), a refill that is among the best in the world, guarantees at least 600 flawlessly written A4 fours. .
