Montblanc Heritage Egyptomania Resin fountain pen

€789,26 EUR
The Montblanc Heritage Egyptomania Resin fountain pen. This year, the Heritage collection is inspired by writing instruments from the Montblanc archives of the 1920s and 1930s. This was a time when the history of ancient Egypt and its discoveries fascinated Europe. In principle, this was mainly due to the decipherment of hieroglyphic writing by Jean-François Champollion in 1822. However, Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb in 1922 caused a veritable Egyptomania in Europe.

In line with their predecessors, the shape of the frame is octagonal and all pens have a retro clip decorated with a scarab, the symbol of the human heart and immortality. The engraving on the cap, Montblanc in hieroglyphics ("mountain of white stones"), recalls the passion for Egyptian culture in the 1920s.

Heritage Egyptomania Resin features a black precious resin octagonal cap and barrel with authentic hieroglyphics, vintage gold plated fittings and a 14K gold nib with an embossed scarab.

In addition to the aesthetic qualities of the collection, the nib of the fountain pen has a modern design with a triangular air hole. Due to the shape of this opening, the nib has a much higher flexibility and is therefore very similar in writing style to the historic Montblancs of yesteryear. Both fountain pen variants are of course equipped with a fixed piston.

The collection consists of two editions, each available as a fountain pen, ballpoint pen and rollerball pen.
