Aurora Dante Purgatorio LE fountain pen
Item no: Au-920-DBF
Dante Alighieri (1265 - 1321) was an Italian poet, writer and short-lived politician. His main work is known as La divina commedia. It is a long poem in three parts about a journey from Hell (Inferno), through the Purgatory (Purgatorio) to Paradise (Paradiso) and is considered a highlight of world literature. It is not the first time that Aurora Dante Alighieri has chosen a prestigious limited edition. In 1995 a nearly identical model appeared in the green lacquer, then very successful. The Aurora Dante Purgatorio is proportionally similar, but finished in blue lacquer. Many features such as the clip cap that carries the portrait of the poet, the antique decorations, laurel leaves on the clip ring and the ring on the barrel, are identical to the original from 1995 and equal as with the previously issued (2013) fountain pen; the Dante Inferno. All fittings are platinum plated. Small details are different, such as the white ring at the filling button and the Italian tricolor on the ring on the barrel. The Dante Purgatorio will be produced in a limited edition of 1265 pieces, Dante's birth year. The fountain pen is equipped with the traditional piston mechanism, the nib is 18 crt. gold available in fine, medium and broad. The pens are presented in a luxurious package with matching ink bottle, specially made for these series.
