Montblanc Writers Edition Jonathan Swift fountain pen (2012)
Item no: 107480
Montblanc Writers Edition 2012 Jonathan Swift fountain pen. The holder has a black lacquer mantle, with a silver-coloured inlay, depicting the ropes with which Gulliver was tied on the beach of Liliput. The fountain pen has a fixed piston mechanism. The cap is made of Montblanc's precious resin and is shaped after Gulliver's tricorn, a typical triangular merchant hat popular in the 18th century. Like all writing instruments from this series, this one also bears the signature of the namesake, this time on the side of the cap, in addition, the unique number of the pen is blindly engraved in the top edge of the cap. The platinum-plated clip depicts the stairs that the mayor of Liliput had to climb to talk to Gulliver.
The 18 carat gold rhodium plated nib is delicately engraved with an image of the Imperial army of Liliput, marched between Gulliver's legs.
The Montblanc Jonathan Swift writing instruments, and associated ink, are available from stock.
