The latest "Patron of Art" Limited Edition 4810 pays tribute to Hadrian, the Roman Emperor who reigned from 117-138 AD. He is considered one of the five good emperors Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius. He is known for the construction of Hadrian's Villa in Tibur including the famous Tivoli Gardens, the Pantheon, the Temple of Venus and the Roma, the largest temple in Ancient Rome and Hadrian's Wall which marked Britannia's northern boundary . The shape of the clip cap and fill button is inspired by these Roman buildings. The shape of the clip is inspired by an ear of wheat. The cap ring is engraved with two portraits: on the one hand the Greek hero Antinous and on the other Medusa, the latter we regularly see in Roman architecture.uur.

For the first time, Montblanc has made the cap and barrel from basalt, a volcanic igneous rock. The fountain pen, based on the 146 LeGrand format, has a fixed piston mechanism and an 18K gold nib. This nib is engraved with a phoenix, matching the coins of that period, and Hadrian was often depicted with a phoenix. The fittings are partly gilded or provided with a ruthenium finish, a special combination.

This edition is limited to 4810 pieces worldwide, equal to the height of the Montblanc in meters.
