Opus 88 Fantasia red fountain pen
The Opus 88 Fantasia fountain pen is available in 5 colors and is the smallest pen in the current Opus series.
The pen must be filled with the included pipette (so-called eyedropper), as is common in some Japanese fountain pens. Connected to the rear cap, there is a rod in the holder with a gasket inside at the other end to separate the ink guide and reservoir. Slightly loosening the rear knob allows the ink guide to be supplied with ink. Tightened again, the two compartments are separated and the large ink supply (approx. 2 ml) is safely stored.
The holders of the pens are transparent and the caps are provided with different colored rings for each color. The cap can be screwed onto the back of the holder while writing. The clip cap has a groove that fits snugly into the knob at the rear of the holder, allowing the internal valve to be operated.
Since 1988, Opus has been producing vital parts for various other stationery manufacturers as an OEM supplier. In 2017 it was decided to release pens under their own label under the brand name Opus 88.
