Parker Duofold International white Ivorine GT fountain pen

Item no: S1907138

€351,24 EUR

The Parker Duofold International white Ivorine GT fountain pen. This solid ivory color lasted very briefly between 1910 and 1916, the material used at the time was galalith, a synthetic plastic made from casein. However, this material had a major drawback; it could absorb ink very easily, causing the material to discolour, among other things. In 1920, against better judgment, one of the first Duofolds from galalith was made again, but this initiative was almost immediately stranded due to the absorption problem of the material. The solid ivory shade has entered the books as an authentic Duofold color and is now in front of us in an indestructible acrylic.
