Pilot Capless Link Black limited edition 2020 fountain pen

The Pilot Capless Link Black is the limited edition capless of 2020. The pen has an all-black look and finish that builds on the Italian mesh watch straps. The guilloche on the frame has a satin finish, and the center ring, clip and push button are matte black. The 18 ct. Gold nib on this limited edition has an ion-plated finish, matching the dark finish of the pen.

This almost futuristic looking fountain pen has been around since 1963, in the early days the pen was equipped with a dial on the back to conjure up the nib. However, the rotary knob was soon replaced by a push button. In 1999 the Capless was restyled. The pen has an all-metal base and features a sturdy clip that features prominently. A small seal at the tip ensures that the nib is stored airtight when not in use and prevents drying.

The Pilot Capless is the only one of its kind, a pen that "behaves" like a ballpoint in terms of mechanics, but turns out to be an excellent fountain pen. A fountain pen that causes a sensation, because of its appearance and in particular because of the surprising technology.

The Capless can be filled with Pilot ink cartridges or with the included converter and comes in a stylish gift box.
