 The symbiosis of art and trade began around 1900 and opens a new chapter in art history: the so-called advertising art. From that moment on, brand products are presented on artfully designed posters. Great painters and graphic designers of the avant-garde, such as El Lissitzky or Kurt Schwitters, create product advertisements for the first time using Pelikan colors. This results in a treasure trove of impressive posters and posters from the 1900s to 1950s, which represent a special piece of Pelikan history. Fritz Beindorff, the former owner of Pelikan and a passionate art collector, is one of the first industrialists to seek collaboration with artists. This art patron launched the first poster competition as early as 1898/99.

Italian painter and graphic designer Glauco Cambon was born in Trieste in 1875. Two of his paintings, Portrait of Attilio Hortis and Music brought him fame. In 1907, at the age of twenty, he presented his art to an international audience at the Venice Biennale. Portraits, caricatures, decorations and the design of artistic billboards illustrate his versatile talent. He died on March 7, 1930 in Biella. His works fetch record prices at art auctions. Glauco Cambon submitted this design to the Pelikan poster competition Competition for Painters and Architects in 1909. Cambon's design was awarded and purchased by Pelikan.likan.

The Souverän M600 impresses with its unique character. The cap, barrel and grip of this elegant fountain pen are made of high-quality resin with self-polishing properties. The 14-carat two-tone gold nib glides smoothly and expressively over the paper. The gold decorative elements, as well as the characteristic double rings and the Pelikan-typical beak-shaped clip, are plated with 24-carat gold.

The carefully designed body of the Souverän M600 is manufactured using the specialist Aurora technique. Initially, a brass tube is processed, engraved and guilloched, creating fine grooves that create the unique hologram effect. Ten layers of transparent varnish give the writing instrument a smooth and flat surface, which is printed with the colored motif after polishing. Finally, frequent polishing ensures the high gloss of this iconic pen.n.
