New from Caran d’Ache is this 849 fountain pen, which fits perfectly with the famous 849 ballpoint pen series. The barrel and cap of this slim designed fountain pen are, just like the ballpoint pen, hexagonal, with the ends having slightly rounder shapes than those of the well-known ballpoint collection. The holder is made of aluminum and has a pleasant weight. The fountain pen can be filled with cartridges (standard size) or with a converter (not included) from the jar. The newly designed nib is steel and offers excellent writing comfort.
