LEUCHTTURM1917 Twist Pen Gradient Edition Port Red/Lilac Ballpoint Pen

This is something unusual. Firstly, it is produced by a company better known for its notebooks: LEUCHTTURM1917. Secondly, the design is distinctly retro; this is because it is a revival of a writing instrument from the 1920s. Thirdly, it looks a bit like a clutch pencil, but it is not; it is a ballpoint pen. This is the Drehgriffel: this means 'twist pen'.

The hexagonal holder is made of precisely milled aluminum and brass and uses a spring mechanism to extend the tip. The Gradient Edition adds an interesting color gradient for a striking two-tone look. Dimensions: 127 mm long, 9 mm diameter, weighs 12 g. Supplied with a royal blue, document-proof ink refill in standard 'Parker-style' G2 configuration, so there is a wide choice of refills.
