Montblanc Meisterstück 149 platinum line fountain pen
Item no: 132103
The Montblanc Meisterstück 149 platinum line fountain pen. This size Meisterstück is the model that gave Montblanc its "Star status" for decades before Montblanc started releasing the consistent series of limited editions and other luxury accessories in the early 1990s.
The first 149 appeared in 1952, the model quickly became a style icon with its perfect and timeless design. To this day, this classic Meisterstück 149 is externally unchanged. This 149 is the flagship of the entire Meisterstück series, the sturdy ultimate notary pen, from which the other Meisterstück models are derived. The Meisterstück 149 not only symbolizes the absolute signature fountain pen, but is also a pen for everyday use.
The frame, cap and barrel are made of black precious resin, the fittings, clip and rings are now platinum plated for the first time! The fountain pen is equipped with a traditional fixed piston mechanism. The nib is 18 carat gold, the majority of the nib is rhodium plated (while the gold-plated variants are exactly the other way around). The nib features the engraving "4810", referring to the height of Montblanc in metres. The white star adorns the cap end, symbolizing the snowy peak of Montblanc with its six glaciers.
Each Montblanc 149 is very stylishly packaged in a luxury gift box, containing a bottle of Montblanc fountain pen ink and the accompanying warranty papers.
