Nakaya Neo Standard Shobu urushi fountain pen

€698,35 EUR

The Nakaya Neostandard Shobu fountain pen is made of ebonite and finished with a beautiful Wajami urishi lacquer. This "Neostandard" model is a nakaya model that was once made at the request of a non-Japanese customer. This sleek designed pen is now part of the permanent collection. Ebonite is a light material, so the pen can be made a little longer and thicker without it becoming too heavy.

The Shobu urushi is a beautiful blue-purple color that is only manufactured once a year. When you are familiar with the RGB color system, the color of this pen is very close to R70, G12, B100.

The design of the pen is simple and sober, no gold-plated rings, just a clip. The fountain pen is slightly longer than usual and intended to be used without a cap on the back. it is also not recommended to place the cap on the back of the container because of damage to the beautiful urushi paint. The nibs are 14 karat gold and can be ordered in different writing widths. Japanese fountain pens almost always write seriously thinner than the European brands. As an indication, a Japanese medium nib corresponds to a fine European one.e.

Just like the pen, the packaging is simple but neat and stylish. Each pen is packed in a Paulownia wooden gift box, the pen itself comes in a small "kimono fabric" case. The fountain pen comes with a box of Platinum cartridges and a converter.r.
