The Pilot Custom Urushi is an excellent fountain pen, made of ebonite with a coating of urushi lacquer.
The pen features a large 18-carat gold nib (nib size n°30), which provides a unique writing experience.
The Pilot Custom Urushi uses a cartridge/converter filling system.
The first Pilot fountain pens were introduced to the Japanese market in 1918. During this period, Japan became more open to Western influences and imported European technology on a large scale. Over the years, Pilot developed into one of the world leaders in fountain pens.
